We have had some uncertainty regarding the amount of Mary's stem cells harvested last week. THRILLED to hear from Mary a few minutes ago that Northwestern "has plenty" and "if need be I (Mary) will be called in a couple months or even up to a lot longer than that if Steve needs a boost."
That is HUGE, GREAT news!
Laura, our Stem Cell Coordinator, sent us a very detailed game plan for his admission on Friday, chemo schedule, and cell infusion, as well as GVHD information and even discharge discussion. Things don't seem nearly as scary as they had been in the past. We are gearing up for the "trip."
